Atousa Sanjarvash

Clinical Psychologist

I work with individuals across the lifespan, from children to older adults, bringing a steady and non-judgmental presence to the therapeutic space. My background in supporting individuals through some of life’s most profound systemic and personal traumas has taught me the importance of bearing witness and navigating experiences that often feel beyond words.

I view the individual through an intersectional lens, acknowledging that we do not exist in isolation. My work often explores the "unseen threads" of family lineages, societal systems, and generational burdens that shape identity and well-being.

My practice is primarily guided by Internal Family Systems, or "parts work." This approach invites curiosity toward the different parts of the self, the ones that developed to protect you and help you make sense of your world, in order to access a core state of clarity. I may also incorporate Deep Brain Reorienting, a neurophysiologically-grounded method that gently processes deep-seated distress and "shocks" to the nervous system.

On a personal note, I find my own balance through travel, the ritual of tea, and time spent in nature.
